Day One

Depart from your selected joining point and travel via the pre-historic landscape of Rannoch Moor in the Western Highlands to the Alexandra Hotel, Fort William for an overnight stay. Comfort stops will be made en-route.

Day Two

A day of mystical highland scenery! Stop for photos of the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, often used as settings in film and TV productions, before crossing the bridge "over the sea to Skye" and travelling almost the full length of the 'Misty Isle'. After some free time in Portree, continue to Uig for the sailing to North Uist. A meal is provided on the ferry and arrival at the Dark Island Hotel, Benbecula is expected approx. 21:00 for your two nights stay.

Day Three

Take an island-hopping adventure, beginning with beautiful views of South Uist and then crossing the causeway, surrounded by expansive skies and shimmering waters, to Eriskay. This charming island has a rich history. It is the real 'Whisky Galore' island as it was just off Eriskay that the S.S. Politician ran aground with 50,000 cases of whisky aboard. The locals managed to save several hundred cases before the ship sank, providing them with a good supply of their 'Water of Life'. Take the short, scenic crossing to Barra, which is considered by many to be the most beautiful little island in Britain. Its tranquil beaches, distinctive culture, where Gaelic is widely spoken, and an ancient history make any visit to Barra a memorable one. Time allowing, venture across the causeway to Vatersay, the most southerly inhabited island in the Outer Hebrides.

Day Four

The journey north towards the Isle of Lewis showcases more of the Outer Hebrides' beauty. Travel to North Uist via the causeway and board the ferry to the Isle of Harris, known for its white sandy beaches and turquoise waters that rival tropical destinations, as well as its dramatic coastline. This island has a strong crofting tradition, with many locals engaged in agriculture and fishing. The landscape is shaped with patchwork fields and traditional buildings. Enjoy the breathtaking views before arriving in the vibrant harbour town of Stornoway, with charming architecture and cosy cafes. Your base for the next two nights is the Caladh Inn. A packed lunch will be provided on this day.

Day Five

A tour guide will take you on an informative, interesting tour of the Isle of Lewis. It has a history that goes back thousands of years and ancient stone circles and standing stones can be found everywhere. Entry is included to Gearrannan Village, a charming and significant site, known for its traditional blackhouses, which are stone-built cottages with thatched roofs. Serving as a living museum, the village reflects the way of life of the island's inhabitants in the past and has breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day Six

After a free morning, take the ferry crossing to the pretty fishing port of Ullapool on the mainland for the overnight at the Caledonian Hotel.

Day Seven

Journey through beautiful highland scenery into Perthshire and the Salutation Hotel in the 'Fair City' of Perth for your final night.

Day Eight

After breakfast you start the journey home. Comfort stops will be made en-route.
