The deposit required at the time of booking for all holidays is £30 per person, full payment is required 28 days prior to departure.

Kyle Line

Board the train in Inverness for the scenic journey to Kyle, enjoy some time at leisure before returning to the Balavil Hotel through glorious highland grandeur.

Strathspey Train

Spend some time in Aviemore, before a truly memorable trip on the Strathspey Train through the heart of the Scottish Highlands and the stunning Cairngorms National Park. As the first line to come to the Scottish Highlands in the mid-1800s, the unique heritage railway boasts an incredible history. Travel via Grantown-on-Spey to the Highland Folk Museum, which gives an insight of how highland people lived and worked from the 1700s up until the 1960s. There are over thirty historical buildings on display which are furnished appropriate to their time period, some of which have been built from scratch on site and some have been moved from other locations. There is a 1700s Township featuring six houses at one end, through to the 1930s working croft at the other, as well as an on-site café and gift shop.

Jacobite Train

Take a journey on the West Highland Line from Fort William to Mallaig (Scotrail diesel in April, Jacobite steam in July/October) described as one of the great railway journeys. Free time in Mallaig before re-joining the coach and stopping at Glenfinnan to see Bonnie Prince Charlie’s monument, the twenty-one-arched viaduct and Loch Shiel. Then onwards to Banavie’s Neptunes Staircase and the Caledonian Canal.
