Combining rugged highland landscapes with the natural beauty of Royal Deeside, this charming holiday has it all.  Explore a wonderful countryside and see some historic and attractive castles and gardens.


There are three excursions included, Balmoral Castle, A guide will take you on an informative tour of the castle and the grounds, Travel through the Cairngorm Mountain Range and the village of Tomintoul to visit Grantown-on-Spey then join the famous Whisky Trail, through the Spey Valley to Dufftown and Crathes Castle and Gardens then free time in the floral city of Aberdeen.

The deposit required at the time of booking for all holidays is £30 per person, full payment is required 28 days prior to departure.

Balmoral Castle

Balmoral Castle is set amongst the magnificent scenery of Royal Deeside, in the shadows of Lochnagar. The Queen’s Royal Residence was described by Queen Victoria as ‘my dear paradise in the Highlands’. A guide will take you on an informative tour of the castle and the grounds.

Whisky Tour/Tasting

Travel through the Cairngorm Mountain Range and the village of Tomintoul to visit Grantown-on-Spey. Join the famous Whisky Trail, through the Spey Valley to Dufftown before passing the Coreen Hills and into the Grampian Mountains. Enjoy a dedicated ‘Tour and Tasting’ of four whiskies with an expert at a local distillery.

Crathes Castle

Start the day with entry to Crathes Castle and Gardens, which has turrets, towers, winding staircases, ornate ceilings, 240 hectares of formal gardens and even a resident ghost! Then there is free time in the floral city of Aberdeen, Scotland’s third largest city.

Belfast-Cairnryan: 0730 and Cairnryan-Belfast: 1930 (return time approximately 2200)

Deeside Hotel, Ballater


A traditional Scottish Inn, where the decor is reflective of the Victorian era, with wood panelling, beamed ceilings, log fires and even Queen Victoria’s wooden toilet!  The hotel does not have a lift.
