This holiday is a great chance to visit Scotland’s most inspiring and iconic places – from an ancient castle to a grand palace.  It is an area synonymous for majestic Highland glens, picturesque lochs and characterful towns and villages.

Three excursions are included, a visit to Blair Castle, then Blair Atholl Distillery before some free time in Pitlochry, free time in Edinburgh and then head out to the Royal Yacht Britannia and an excursion to Perth and Scone Palace.

What’s Included?

The deposit required at the time of booking for all holidays is £30 per person, full payment is required 28 days prior to departure.

Blair Castle

‘Queens View’ is a most admired spot for Queen Victoria, who stopped here on several occasions whilst at Balmoral. Our coach will stop here for photographs. On to the twelfth-century Blair Castle which has a chequered history involving Mary Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie. Nearby is Blair Atholl Whisky Distillery, where you can enjoy a guided tour and tasting before spending some free time in Pitlochry.

Pass the famous Meikleour Beech hedge, planted by Bonnie Prince Charlie’s troops in 1745. It is the largest in the world measuring 580 yards long and 120 feet high. See the brand new Queensferry Crossing and the Forth Road Bridges as you travel to Edinburgh, known as the “Auld Reekie”, where there will be free time before heading to Leith and the Royal Yacht Britannia. In service for the Royal family for more than forty years, sailing over a million miles around the world on official state visits, you can follow in the footsteps of Royalty and discover the heart and soul of the ship.

Spend some time in the attractive city of Perth, on the banks of the River Tay before visiting Scone Palace, one of Scotland’s most important stately homes. It houses an outstanding collection of rare artefacts and paintings and the grounds are renowned throughout the world.
