A great chance to see North Wales, Anglesey and Puffin Island, whilst based in the seaside town of Prestatyn.  With landmarks and attractions, as well as sandy beaches, it is a popular tourist destination.

Three excursions are included, LLandudno and Penrhyn Castle, a journey on the Snowdon Mountain Railway then to the National Slate Museum and a cruise to Puffin Island.

What’s Included?

The deposit required at the time of booking for all holidays is £30 per person, full payment is required 28 days prior to departure.

Pass sandy beaches and coastal villages before arriving in Llandudno. Nearby is the enormous nineteenth-century fantasy – Penrhyn Castle. A neo-Norman castle crammed with fascinating items, there is a one-ton slate bed made for Queen Victoria, elaborate carvings, plasterwork and mock-Norman furniture, an outstanding collection of paintings and an industrial railway museum. The 60 acres of grounds include exotic trees, plants and a Victorian walled garden.

Welsh Highlands

Travel through the Welsh highlands to join the train from Llanberis to Snowdon’s summit – the highest peak in Wales and a place of legend. It dominates the landscape and has stunning views of ancient landscapes. At the top, there is a visitor centre, restaurant and a path leading to the summit. Close-by is the National Slate Museum – travel back to Victorian times and see the workshops, split a slate and hear the stories of quarry life.

Starting with a visit to Caernarfon, a town which dates back to the thirteenth-century and is dominated by its castle. Venture over the Menai Strait to Anglesey, with a photo opportunity at Beaumaris Castle before joining the short cruise to Puffin Island, home to many species of birds and wildlife. There are regular sightings of puffins, grey seals and dolphins around the island.
